About Us
AHK Greater China
AHK Greater China is part of the German Chambers of Commerce Worldwide Network (AHK) which includes 150 offices in 93 countries and regions. The AHK's history in Greater China stretches back to 1981, when the first office was opened.
With our five main offices and seven supporting offices in Greater China, we focus on trade and investment between these two regions. We also support our more than 2,100 members' business interests through the comprehensive services provided by our business and investment, and membership platforms.
Our organization is not only an important contact point for German companies deciding to enter the Chinese market and for Chinese companies entering the German market, but also a provider of a wide range of customized advice and services.
Three Organizations:
AHK Greater China consists of the following three organizations, which are separate entities and different from one another. Each organization is governed by its own Board of Directors / management team.
1. Official Representation - The Delegation of German Industry & Commerce
The Delegations of German Industry & Commerce in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, German Industry & Commerce Ltd. in Hong Kong, and German Trade Office Taipei officially represent the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) in Greater China.
2. The Member Organization - The German Chamber of Commerce in China
The German Chambers in China cater to the needs of more than 2,100 members. They represent the interests of their members, provide services, and work to promote bilateral economic cooperation.
3. The Service Provider - German Industry & Commerce
German Industry & Commerce (Taicang) Ltd., German Industry & Commerce Ltd. and DEinternational Taiwan Ltd. are the service branches of the German Chamber Network in Greater China. German Industry & Commerce (GIC) offers a wide range of services to German and local companies to support their businesses.
